On January 27th, 2026, the Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers and the European Enterprise Alliance held an expert roundtable at the European Parliament on the direction of EU digital policy and priorities for 2026. The event reviewed regulatory and strategic developments set in motion in 2025, including the AI Act, the Digital Omnibus Simplification Agenda, and the enforcement phase of the Digital Services Act. The discussion examined how these frameworks are shaping Europe’s digital infrastructure and markets, with a forward look at the Digital Networks Act and targeted amendments to the Cybersecurity Act, and their implications for connectivity, technological sovereignty, industrial competitiveness, and strategic resilience. The roundtable was opened with a welcome by Michał Kobosko, Member of the European Parliament. The keynote address was delivered by Dariusz Standerski, State Secretary at the Ministry of Digital Affairs of Poland. Further contributions were provided by Jakub Boratyński, Director for Compliance and Business Conduct at DG GROW of the European Commission, followed by special remarks from Jakub Bińkowski, Vice President of the Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers.
