Seminar: Transforming Work: skills in automated and augmented environment

On 24 June 2025, the Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers (ZPP), in collaboration with the European Enterprise Alliance (EEA), held a seminar at the European Parliament titled “Transforming Work: Skills in an Automated and Augmented Environment.” The event was hosted by MEP Andrzej Buła and focused on the evolving intersection of technological innovation and labor market dynamics. The discussion examined how the increasing integration of artificial intelligence, robotics, and data-driven systems is reshaping job functions, skill demands, and workforce structures across Europe. Key topics included the development of EU-wide frameworks for lifelong learning, strategies for mitigating skill mismatches, and policy tools to support both SMEs and large enterprises in transitioning to digitally enhanced operations. Speakers emphasized the importance of aligning education and vocational training systems with the rapidly changing needs of the labor market while ensuring equitable access to reskilling opportunities. The seminar also highlighted the role of public-private partnerships in building a resilient, future-ready workforce capable of thriving in an AI-augmented economy.
