Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers together with SME Connect and
European Enterprise Alliance is delighted to invite you to join
European Minimum Wage Roundtable
on April 23rd 10:00 – 11.30 CET via ZOOM platform
Everyone agrees that one should earn a decent living and that adequate wages benefit the economy as a whole. Nonetheless, minimum wages are complex matters that cannot be seen in isolation from other factors. For instance, raising minimum wages may have a negative impact on competitiveness on European businesses, and hence their ability to retain and create employment, which will be crucial in times of post-pandemic economic recovery. We invite you to an online discussion on the European Minimum Wage with European and Global organizations that will share their experience, knowledge and opinions to shed new light on the European Commission’s proposal.
During the event, we will publish a letter on the European Minimum Wage signed by more than 20 Polish and European companies, organisations and think tanks. The letter will be handed over to the representatives of the EU institutions before the upcoming social summit in Porto.
