Position paper on the key aspects of the reform of EU’s electricity market design

European Commission recently completed the consultation process to reform the energy market design in response to challenges faced in 2022!  Their aim? Enhance market resilience and reduce reliance on short-term prices as well as promote long-term contracts like power purchase agreements  The proposal is currently being discussed by the Council and the European Parliament, marking an important step towards a more robust and sustainable energy market.  As the European Enterprise Alliance, in collaboration with Związek Przedsiębiorców i Pracodawców / Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers, we are thrilled to present our insights into the reform of Electricity Market Design (EMD) regulation!
